Deleting your account

You can delete your Ụdaume account at any time, in the app or here on the website. Nothing happens for seven days, so a mistake can be undone.

In the app

  1. Open You, then Settings.
  2. Tap Delete my account.
  3. Type DELETE to be sure.

Without the app

  1. Sign in on the website with the same email or phone number.
  2. Go to Settings › Delete my account.
  3. Type DELETE to be sure.
Cannot sign in at all?Write to hello@udaume.com from the email address on the account, or tell us the phone number you signed in with. We will confirm it is you and delete it.

What goes

Your sign-in, your name and username, your picture, your email and phone number, and what the phone remembers.

What stays, because it is not only yours

What you kept for your family stays with your family, and what you opened to everyone stays in the archive. Your name on them becomes “a keeper who left”. If you want a recording you made taken down as well, say so in your email and we will.

The seven days

Nothing happens for seven days. Sign in again before then, or tap Keep my account, and it is as if you never asked. After seven days it is done and cannot be undone.
